For many of us, pancakes have always been a timeless classic for weekend brunches. We want to bring you back to a simpler and sweeter time with the help of everyone's favourite comfort food filled with happiness and nostalgia, hence our slogan - Flipping Happiness

Our soufflé pancakes are different than the ones you may have tried. Kumo's signature soufflé pancakes uses cultured whey butter and a different cooking method developed to elevate its famous light and fluffy texture while soaring its flavours to new heights

For the best dining experience, our soufflé pancakes are dine-in only. Rest assured, we have specialty and house-made drinks available for takeaway

FAQ

What are your dining policies?

We do not allow outside food or drinks to be consumed in our store. Due to limited seating, there is a 60-minute dining time limit as well as a minimum order of 1 pancake per 2 people at any time. Please allow 20 minutes for your pancake to cook

Why are your pancakes dine-in only?

To ensure a quality dining experience, the renowned fluffiness of soufflé pancakes generally lasts for 15 minutes before deflating. Therefore, to prevent your pancakes getting cold, messy and flat, we have decided to make them exclusively dine-in

Do you accept bookings?

We take bookings Monday - Fridays from 4pm - 7pm excluding public holidays and school holidays - book here

Groups with 8+ may have a harder time being seated during peak hours. Although we try our best to accommodate for everyone, we may have to seat your group separately. Groups larger than 12 must be seated separately

What type of payment methods do you accept?

We accept Cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and gift cards. Please note that we do not do split billing and there is a 5% Saturday surcharge, a 10% Sunday surcharge as well as a 15% Public Holiday surcharge. Thank you for your understanding!

What dietary restrictions do you have?

Gluten free - Our soufflé pancakes cannot be made gluten-free. We apologise for any inconvenience caused

Nut-free - All our items are nut-free, with the exception of of Nomtella having hazelnuts and our Pistachio Papi having pistachios. However, there is a chance for cross-contamination during the cooking process

Which products are Halal friendly/no alcohol?

We are not Halal-licensed but we are halal-friendly. We do not use any rennet or pork/beef gelatine in our products. All our drinks are alcohol-free

Is it safe for pregnant women?

While we ensure that our pancakes are fully cooked through, we cannot give a 100% guarantee. Please inform our lovely staff when placing your order so we can better assist with a thermostat check during the cooking process

What makes Kumo different from any other soufflé pancake?

The primary difference in our new folded style soufflé pancakes lies in the difference in cooking methods, suited for restaurant style, with a redefined taste along with the addition of culture whey butter

Do you guys sell gift cards?

Yes we do! We provide Square Electronic Gift Cards which can be found in our Gift Card section!

Where can I get my hands on your merch?

All merch can only be purchased in store. We release new merch with limited stock periodically and collaborate with other small businesses and artists to deliver these goods. Keep your eyes peeled on our Insta posts to catch the newest product releases!

Can I bring prams in?

We do have baby chairs available but if your baby requires your pram to be next to your table, there may be limited seating options or a slight delay as we have space restrictions.

Do you have any other store locations?

We only have the one store located at 198 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne 3000
